Marmaray deviates from the Sea of Marmara and the terminology 'ray', which translates to track in Turkish. For the first time, Europe and Asia are connected through an underground railroad network.
Besides tracks, trains and radio communication infrastructure, the project resulted in the building of a completely new tunnel, which has been used since 2013. As part of this prestigeous project, ErvoCom figured as a sub-supplier for Hytera Mobilfunk, who built the radio communication network on site.
